Black-background images 
These maps each have a title and legend and
are presented on a black background, which makes them well suited for
presentations. Images are 11 x 8.5 inches in a landscape layout with 150
dot-per-inch resolution. File size is approximately 100 Kb. We would appreciate
acknowledgement of Forest Service North Central Research Station and University
of Wisconsin-Madison in your presentation.

Blue-border images 
These maps are presented on a white background,
with a banner full of information around them. We recommend you use the
Blue Border maps for printed material such as handouts, since each map
includes all the necessary acknowledgements, credits, contacts, and definitions.
Images are 8.5 x 11 inches in portrait layout with 300 dot-per-inch resolution.
File size ranges between 300 and 700 Kb.

White-background images 
These maps are presented on a white background
with a title, legend, and contact information. Images are 8.5 x 11 inches
in landscape layout with 600 dot-per-inch resolution. File size ranges
between 400 Kb to 3 Mb. These images are ideal for high-quality publication
printing.

Full resolution images are too large to print properly from most web browsers. Best print quality will be achieved by downloading images from the WUI map library and then importing them into third-party software prior to printing. |
