My research interests focus mainly in the long term interactions between human activities and arid ecosystems. I´m particularly interested in understanding how the pace of anthropization modifies the structure and function of key arid ecosystems (oases, mangroves, vernal pools, etc.).

I enjoy cooking for my family and friends, then eating with them and having a great laugh. I´m starting to explore the fascinating landscapes of the peninsula of Baja California, tracing the first European settlements and discovering their hidden stories.
