Gregory Gavier Pizarro
My main research interest is to analyze how humans modify the landscape pattern altering the ecological processes at different scales, and then to develop management options and strategies that allow human development while sustaining the biodiversity and ecosystems of a region. My work is strongly based on GIS analysis and landscape ecology, and I am focused on forested areas and exotic invasive species.
I really like to travel to wild places, and so I enjoy different types of outdoor activities as hiking, biking, camping, fishing and playing soccer. My hobbies include painting, photography (nature in general), reading and collecting vinyl recordings (I do not play any instrument but I am a virtuoso listener!). I also enjoy meeting my friends and sharing good moments with them.
