I am interested in using technologies such as geographic information systems (GIS) and remote sensing in an effort to explain and measure human impacts on the environment. I also enjoy working with unique remote sensing image processing algorithms, especially in the areas of machine learning and image classification.

I enjoy biking, hiking, and backpacking. After living in southern California for two years, I have developed a love for the desert and the Sierra Nevadas. Now that I am back in Wisconsin, I am looking forward to doing some snow-shoeing and cross-country skiing.
