I am interested in how we can be more strategic about conservation actions, including the different ways in which conservation priorities may be determined, how we can best incorporate anticipated population growth and development pressures with ecological priorities, and the level to which those priorities are effective in informing and guiding actions of government agencies and conservation organizations. I’m also interested in the effectiveness of on-the-ground conservation actions: are conservation tools and actions such as endangered species laws, technical assistance, and land acquisition resulting in higher-quality and more intact natural communities and healthier wildlife populations?

I love hanging out with my family, travelling to fun places (usually involving a beach or mountain), hiking, baking, sledding with our kids on a snowy day, and spending time with good friends.
