Education:
2008, Ph.D. Wildlife Sciences, University of Missouri
2003, M.S. Wildlife Sciences, University of Missouri
2000, B.S. Wildlife Ecology, University of Wisconsin-Madison

Research interests:
I study wildlife-habitat relationships with the purpose of identifying wildlife response to habitat change.  Although habitat loss, fragmentation, and degradation are frequently listed causes of wildlife population declines, the effects of these factors vary by species and across spatial scales.  I use empirical and GIS-based approaches, and conduct research at different spatial scales to address these issues.

Personal interests:
I enjoy birdwatching, woodworking, gardening, playing squash, drinking micro-brewed beer, and spending time with family and friends.

Project:
Effects of fire, extreme weather, and anthropogenic disturbance on avian biodiversity in the United States.
