Research interests

I'm interested in applying geographic information systems (GIS), remote sensing, and computer-based models to assess and monitor human-induced land cover change on broad scales, and to investigate its environmental and ecological consequences.

Personal interests

I'm an accomplished golfer and bowler, and I also love to play softball, volleyball, or any other sport that allows me to run around with my gaggle of nieces/nephews. I'm a novice gardener, and also dabble in the art of homebrewing. In the summer, I can think of no better way of spending a weekend than camping with friends and grilling over an open fire. Occasionally I head out into the wild to enjoy the great outdoors, but most of the time you'll probably find me sipping the finest microbrews with my friends and cohorts.
