I am an ecologist trained in land use and remote sensing, including LiDAR. As such, I am interested in questions related to environmental change, human dimensions, biodiversity conservation, and wildlife habitat mapping. Over the last year, I’ve been actively working with people outside of my field such as economists, freshwater biologists, and others, trying to understand the potential consequences of future land use change. Most of my research has been in the U.S. and Puerto Rico.
Urban life, concerts, kayaking, and sailing. When possible, I like to escape to Puerto Rico (especially if it is winter in Wisconsin).
