Education
2019: B.A. (Double Major), Biology, Geography, Middlebury College
Research interests
I’m interested in leveraging advances in satellite and computing technology to help us take better care of our planet. My most recent work focused on mapping methane emissions from malfunctional oil and gas infrastructure in the Permian Basin. During my time in the SILVIS lab, I hope to map the extent of the Wildland-Urban Interface (WUI) in Africa and explore relationships between the WUI, invasive trees and fire regimes in Afromontane ecosystems.
Personal interests
I love to explore new places, and am at my happiest when adventuring outdoors. You can often find me walking, biking, kayaking or just watching the world go by while drinking large cups of tea. I also enjoy reading, experimental cooking, crosswords, and listening to opera.
