Research interests
After the Moscow State University I worked for NGO’s as a GIS specialist and made several projects on delineation of intact landscapes (forest, grassland), studying human impact and mapping land use patterns. With a team of ornithologists, I did a research on distribution and migration of geese in northern Russia.
My PhD project will be focused on grasslands and their land use, including agricultural abandonment and fallow land ecology. Also I am going to study how waterfowl use grassland abandonment and agricultural ecosystems during their migration and wintering.
Personal interests
My favorite pastime outside the studies is traveling, driving, photography and diving.
