As many, I am concerned about pace of human induced change in our environment. My research aims to provide solid data on the patterns of change, and to predict likely effects on biodiversity and forests be they wild or managed.
"... and I think to myself, what a wonderful world." Wild places excite me; knowing that they are there, hiking in them, forgetting about time. I truly cherish a good meal among friends; the laughter brought out by a bottle of wine, passionate voices searching for solutions. And I am a happy man thanks to my wife and daughter who have opened my eyes and make my life so much richer.
